Celebrate Christmas at The Angel at Burford with good food, great company and plenty of festive cheer.

Our festive menu brings together seasonal flavours, comforting classics and a few Angel favourites, making it perfect for Christmas get-togethers with family, friends or colleagues in the heart of the Cotswolds.
To start, choose from warming Creamed Celeriac Soup with apple and hazelnuts, rich Duck Liver Parfait with pistachio and clementine jam, or Steamed Mussels cooked in cider with a garlic cream sauce. For something lighter, there’s also a Pear, Walnut & Chicory Salad with balsamic dressing.
Traditional & Seasonal Main Courses
For the main event, Christmas tradition comes in the form of our Roast Turkey Ballotine with sage and onion stuffing and all the traditional trimmings.
You can also enjoy Slow Braised Blade of Beef with pomme purée, spiced red cabbage, orange-glazed carrots and red wine & port jus, or Pan-Fried Hake Fillet with gnocchi, wild mushrooms, crispy kale and a Parmesan & chive cream sauce.
Our meat-free option is a Roast Butternut Squash, Spinach & Feta Pithivier, served with squash purée and parsley mash.
Festive Desserts
Finish on something sweet with a classic Christmas Pudding with brandy cream, a Chocolate Yule Log with winter berries and cinnamon Chantilly, or Honey Sponge with honey & pistachio cream and white chocolate sauce.
Alternatively, round off your meal with our two-cheese selection, chutney and crackers.

All festive bookings require a £10 per person non-refundable deposit and a pre-order. A 12.5% service charge will also be added.
