Halloween has arrived in Burford and The Angel team are ready to celebrate. The pumpkins are lined up, the carving knives are out and our staff pumpkin competition is about to begin. Each member of the team is putting their best spooky spin on things and it is up to you to decide who wins. Friday 31 October: Kids Eat Free in Fancy Dress
Halloween is for kids. The excitement of dressing up, the thrill of trick or treating and the promise of something sweet at the end of it all make it one of the best nights of the year. Bring your little witches, ghosts and ghouls to The Angel on Friday 31 October, where kids in fancy dress eat free before 6 pm when an adult buys a main meal. It is the perfect way to start the fun or to wind down after an afternoon of adventures.
We will have plenty of favourites on the menu for all ages and a warm, welcoming spot to escape the chill. Parents can sit back with a well-earned drink while the little ones show off their costumes.

Blenheim Palace Halloween Trail runs from 23 October to 2 November. It transforms the palace grounds into a glowing world of lanterns, lights and spooky surprises. Wander through illuminated trees and enjoy a little theatre after dark.
Cotswold Farm Park is celebrating pumpkin season all month. Pick your own, meet the animals and enjoy late evening openings on Saturdays. It is ideal for younger visitors and full of picture-perfect moments.
Batsford Arboretum is bursting with autumn colour. The trees are at their best, the paths are quiet and the leaves crunch underfoot. It is a beautiful spot for a peaceful stroll or an energetic run for little legs.
Cogges Witch’s House in nearby Witney is full of Halloween magic, with spells, stories and hands-on fun for curious kids. It is a brilliant family day out and only a short trip from Burford.
